The Mass Produced Project

For this project, I really want to make a mass producible little guy. Think calico critters, or small collectables. I see a lot of artists online using 3D printing as a way to distribute their art on a larger scale. For example, I was looking to a creator called Venomfencer.
They make pins, figures, and charms with resin printing, then paint them and sell them in monthly drops of product. I love their work and I'm always interested in their process. It seems to work pretty well for them. They do note that due to the nature of resin printing, color variations and small imperfections can be present in product - which is important to consider when talking about making something mass producible. I suggest checking out their website and art, all under the same name, Venomfencer! They're a Canadian artist.
A project like this would also let me do creature design/character design for my portfolio. But important considerations like keeping it simple and easily printed, with minimal small parts that could break off during use is important.
As another idea, following this one, I do want to try making my own keychain. I already sketched ideas of little guys, charm ideas, etc. But I'm also really interested in making something like a pin with resin printing - and since they're a smaller scale, maybe I can make many of different variations. If I have time, I'd also like to make custom packaging. Like how would this be presented? If it's a pin, it would have a paper backing, if it's a keychain, could it also have something like that?

Here's some quick idea sketches:
I've also made stickers of little guys before, so I could consider using one of those designs to make in 3D.
