Getting Stuff Printed
╰──────┄ °❀
Little bit of a late update but I wanted to get some things in motion before I summarized what I did this week! Last week and this week I mostly focused on finishing up my models and making sure their meshes were manifold and closed for resin printing.
There were some hiccups that I had to figure out, and some things were much easier than I thought would be. For example, the pizza pepperonis just did not want to behave mesh wise. I think it was the way I made them. So after wrestling with it, I eventually decided this pizza is a cheese pizza (and I can paint on details later. Also, when thinking of scale, this detail of raised pepperoni's is cool but won't necessarily be seen.)
I downloaded a tool kit for Blender called the 3D Print Toolkit. It's an add on that will basically scan your mesh/model and tell you if it's broken or problematic for printing lol! I mostly used it to identify unconnected edges or holes in my mesh. After I run my model through it, I then export the STL version of the model to Rhino for that final check to see if its fully closed mesh wise for resin printing. And huzzah, it was!
Behold my beautiful final models:
